Tumblr daze: When you just sit there refreshing your dash over and over even though nothing is happening because inertia has taken over.
Dash drought: When nobody is posting anything, so your dash is dead. Often occurs in the dead of night, early in the morning, or when everybody is in school.
Dash deluge: When there are too many new posts to keep up with.
Night blogging: The weirdness and silliness that takes over tumblr when night falls.
Post regret: When you post something and then think, “WTF was I thinking? That was so dumb!” Often felt after getting zero notes.
Post panic: Realizing you posted something with an egregious typo.
Initial flurry: The notes you get right after posting something, before the count drops off and becomes sporadic.
Re-post pariah: Somebody ostracized by the tumblr community for re-posting rather than reblogging.
Shame reblog: Reblogging something because the post says that you’re a terrible person if you don’t.
Fear reblog: Reblogging something because the post says something terrible will happen if you don’t.
Curiosity reblog: Reblogging something because the post says something awesome will happen if you do.
Theme envy: Wanting somebody else’s theme.
Stalkee Friend: A person whose blog you visit so often that you feel like you know them and are their friend, even though you’ve never actually talked to them.
Stalker Friend: A person who visits your blog so often that they feel like they know you and are your friend, even though they’ve never actually talked to you.
Tumblr acquaintance: Someone on tumblr you talk to occasionally.
Tumblr friend: Someone on tumblr you talk to frequently.
Tumblr bestie: Your favorite person on tumblr whose favorite you also are.
Tumblr paradox: The sudden realization that you could run into a close tumblr friend in real life without realizing it.
Tumblr effect: Gradually having one’s life taken over by tumblr, even if you joined with no intention of spending much time on it.
